P&T (Changxing) International Logistic Park project (first phase) held its commencement ceremony
In the morning of March 1st, P&T (Changxing) International Logistic Park project(first phase) held its commencement ceremony. The ceremony was presided over by county magistrate He Zhiqiang and leaders at all levels participated in it.
This project is a key project of Zhejiang province and is a component of South Taihu Industrial Agglomeration Area (Changxing subarea).The total investment is one billion yuan, and the project covers an area of 550 mu. Four 500 tons berth of 140 mu will be under construction at the first phase, the designed annual throughput is 1.56 million tones. The port is planed to put into operation around the National Day in 2017.
The beginning of the construction of P&T (Changxing) International Logistic Park project marks the official opening of the regional logistics center in East China's "Railway&Highway&Waterway" container combined transport. Materials from Zhejiang, Anhui and Jiangsu provinces will be transported to the whole world through this logistic park. The completion of the project transfers Changxin’s unique geographical advantages into transportation and logistics advantages, Changxin will then fully integrated into the development of the Yangtze River Economic Belt road.
The commencement ceremony of the project has also been the focus of many media, including many well-known media like the CCTV economical channel, CCTV news channel, China News Service, Zhejiang TV and so on.
